Functionality and scale appearance are important to me. So one 1/4″-40 straight valve for the throttle and another for the boiler drain was a necessity. My run tests show they seal properly and are easy to operate.
I would recommend these valves for any steam application.

If you haven’t bought one, you should…..the quality and fit of this globe valve to any boiler screams authenticity!!! Seals tight with little effort. The fine control and adjustment you can acheive is amazing. I purchased the UST Angle version along with a PM 3/16-40 Die and corresponding brass pipe……theads mesh very nicely.
