THE PEANUT RIDER
The first RIDER Engines were manufactured in 1880 by the De Lamater Iron Works. This engine was the inspiration for our Peanut RIDER. This all metal, black and brass engine with red flywheel is mounted on a solid hardwood platform. It is an excellent running engine and will make a handsome addition to your collection. Each engine is test run at the factory and comes complete with an alcohol fuel cell, extra wick, allen wrenches and owner’s manual.
Specifications: Wood base is 5-1/2″ x 6″, .9″ height, 3-1/2″ flywheel. Completely assembled and ready to run.

Amusing smooth and quiet. Joy to use. The machining of the flywheel is perfect and far better than any of my other and pricier engines. It runs true viewed from any angle. The balance of the construction is simply flawless. I could not be more pleased!

This peanut Rider engine, and the solar #12 are two “must have” engines for any collector. I was surprised at how quiet, and smooth this engine runs. The attention to detail is top notch. I could not find one tiny defect, anywhere. The customer service is as good as the engine, top notch. At this price you can not go wrong, for a working model of an actual engine that was used years ago. I have about 20-25 running hours on mine. Looks and runs like new.

Although similar in design to a few other PMR’s solar engines, the Solar Engine #10 has MORE character than the others.
Each engine, having its own personality, I had some “learning how to maintain and run” to do. But the guys at PMR made sure I knew what I was doing. After they explained where NOT to oil, it runs great and fascinates everyone that I show it to.
PMR stands behind their products, and that is why this Solar Engine #10 earns 5 stars.
