Product Description

Taps and dies for cutting taper pipe threads in UST or MTP threads. 3/16-40 and 1/4-40 dies are 13/16″ diameter. 5/16-27 (1/16 NPT) die is 1″ diameter.

NOTE: Tap will cut MTP or UST tapered threads depending on tap depth.

    A little pricy for a die? Not really, check around. However, once you get past the price shock and have one of these dies in your tool collection, it will make a star out of you. Even me, without practice, am able to custom thread 3/16″ diameter pipe and insert it in line to whatever length I need.
    I love to brag about my PMR steam plant, and this little 33 dollar tool made it possible.
